In the Community

We are excited to be a sponsor of LexFUN!  LexFUn! Is Lexington’s Five and Under Network. They were formed in 1942 and are a local unit of the Massachusetts branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers. Their purpose is to offer social, educational, and recreational opportunities to families with young children [birth through age five].  We look forward to supporting them and their mission.

We are pleased to announce our sponsorship of Habitat for Humanity of Greater Lowell (HFHGL). HFHGL is a nonprofit organization that works to strengthen families and communities through affordable homeownership opportunities. HFHGL works in partnership with corporations, like-minded community groups, faith-based organizations, and individual volunteers to develop communities with people in need by building and renovating simple, decent, energy efficient, affordable homes. Since its founding in 1991, HFHGL has built or renovated a total of 28 homes in Bedford, Billerica, Concord, Lowell, Reading, and Westford.

Many of our employees feel strongly about giving back to the community. Some of us run, bike and swim to raise money for various organizations. Others of us pick up hammers and paint brushes, but as you can see there are many organizations that we support throughout the year.

How We Work

1. Conversation

In the initial conversation we'll discuss your hopes and dreams, as well as your concerns and what keeps you up at night. We'll talk about your goals - personal, family, financial and professional - about where you'd like to be in five or ten or twenty years. We'll discuss your risk tolerance, and any work you've done with other financial professionals. In short, we want to understand where you are now, how you got here and where you'd like to go.

2. Financial Plan

Here we apply our collective expertise to design a comprehensive financial plan that incorporates all we learned from our earlier conversations with you. It might include planning for retirement, college funding for children or grandchildren, your estate, caring for elders or other family members, philanthropy, the purchase or sale of a business or professional practice - everything that is appropriate to you.

3. Plan Presentation

Next, we discuss the financial plan we've developed for you. We cover options, risks and opportunities as well as our recommendations for helping you achieve your financial life goals.

4. Design Investment Plan

With the Financial Plan now in place, we'll develop an Investment Plan that aligns with your specific goals. We'll also prepare an Investment Policy Statement that documents the Investment Plan.

5. Move Your Accounts

Moving your accounts might seem overwhelming but our Onboarding Team will direct and monitor the process every step of the way. They'll even prepare the necessary paperwork so you don't have to.

6. Implement Investment Plan

When your acounts have been moved to Wingate, we'll implement your Investment Plan, keeping you informed as we do.

7. Review & Monitor

With your Investment Plan in place, we'll continually monitor your accounts and keep you in the loop with quarterly performance reports and explanations of any changes to your allocations or holdings so you'll always know what you own and why you own it.

8. Conversation

Goals and circumstances can change over time so we'll continue to talk and meet regularly se we can adapt when necessary to ensure your plan remains aligned with your goals.
